Hero Role: Ranged DPS

Difficulty: Intermediate to Advanced

Hero Overview

Elarion stands as one of Fellowship's premier ranged damage dealers, specializing in delivering devastating long-range attacks while maintaining exceptional mobility. This celestial archer excels at picking off priority targets from a safe distance, making them invaluable in both dungeon encounters and challenging boss fights. Players who enjoy tactical positioning and precise shot placement will find Elarion to be an incredibly rewarding hero to master.

What sets Elarion apart from other ranged heroes is his unique combination of sustained damage output and battlefield mobility. Unlike traditional archers who must remain stationary, Elarion can maintain full damage potential while constantly repositioning, making them exceptionally difficult for enemies to pin down or eliminate.

Strengths

  • Exceptional mobility and positioning flexibility
  • Superior priority target elimination capabilities
  • Consistent damage output at any range
  • Strong kiting and hit-and-run tactics
  • Excellent for players who prefer tactical gameplay

Weaknesses

  • Ultimate ability lacks impact compared to other heroes
  • Limited defensive talent options
  • Complex rotation requires practice to master
  • Requires good positioning awareness as the kiter in some scenarios

Stat Priority

Agility > Haste > Expertise > Crit > Spirit

Agility remains Elarion's primary stat, directly increasing damage output. Haste follows closely behind, reducing charge cooldowns, GCD, and improving overall DPS. Expertise generally increases all damage done, while Crit and Spirit offer supplementary benefits for damage and his ultimate.

Build Focus: Multishot charges for AOE dominance and Impending Heartseeker for priority targets

This endgame build leverages Multishot charges as your primary source of area-of-effect damage, allowing for consistent pressure on groups of enemies. Simultaneously, it invests heavily in Impending Heartseeker to provide significant burst damage for final bosses and high-priority targets. This dual focus ensures Elarion remains highly effective in both clearing trash packs and executing critical single-target damage when it matters most, making it a versatile and powerful choice for advanced players.

Rotation & Ability Usage

Elarion's rotation focuses on maintaining consistent damage output while managing cooldowns and procs. Many of his abilities are on a global cooldown, so you need to manage your cooldowns wisely.

Opening Sequence: Generally, you will want to start with a Lunarlight Mark, then use up your Highwind Arrow charges and Heartseeker Barrage. Then hit Skystrider's Supremacy and pop in those Multishots.

Sustained Damage: Continue favoring Heartseeker Barrage and Highwind Arrows. If Skystrider's Grace is up, use it before unleashing these two abilities to get through them as fast as possible. Weave in your empowered Multishots with Supremacy whenever possible after that, and hitting Celestial Shot when you get Celestial Impetus.

Cooldown Management: Save your most powerful abilities for high-value targets or when you need to burst down enemies quickly. Your cooldowns for the most part are not very long, so you don't need to worry about saving them too often, only at the very end of a pull perhaps.

Mobility Integration: Use your movement abilities not just for positioning, but also to avoid as much damage as possible. Position yourself so you can be easily healed by healers' AOE, while being alert enough to roll out of the way of harm.

Ability Priority Order

Understanding the optimal ability priority is crucial for maximizing Elarion's damage output. The priority order varies depending on whether you're facing multiple enemies (AOE) or a single target (boss).

AOE Priority Order

For dungeon encounters with multiple enemies, use this priority order:

1
Event Horizon
2
Lunarlight Mark
3
Skystrider's Supremacy
4
Skystrider's Grace
5
Starfall Volley
6
Highwind Arrow
7
Heartseeker Barrage
8
Multishot
9
Celestial Shot
10
Focused Shot
Single Target (Boss) Priority Adjustment

When fighting a single target or boss, prioritize Heartseeker Barrage over Highwind Arrow. Heartseeker Barrage provides superior single-target damage and should be used whenever available, while Highwind Arrow's ricochet mechanics are less effective against single enemies.
